A little bit of everything

Okay so it has definately been a while since I blogged. There have been some major changes going on in my life and I have also been really busy. Actually I say that but to be perfectly honest, I cannot remember what I've been doing for the last week but by the looks of my room and car, I have not been cleaning or doing much homework.

So on Wednesday last week, at about midnight, I found my bunny Gabby laying on her side in her cage just an hour away from death. She died that night and to be perfectly honest, I've been a bit of a wreck since. I know it sounds ridiculous but I loved that little rabbit. I have been procrastinating the task of cleaning her cage for the last time and packing up all her food and treats to take to the Humane Society because it will be so real that she is gone. On a good note though, this will in fact be the last time I have to don the rubber gloves and gag my way through cleaning up the nasty kitty litter out of the bottom of the cage.

On Thursday last week I went to see my best friend Kelley for her 21st birthday!!!! We had a great time, we went to a karaoke bar with EmHop, and had a blast. The last time I had a night like that was in London, so it was much needed. While I was there, I got to see all the wonderful people that I love in Birmingham. Oh those girls and guys are the greatest and I always seem to forget just how much I miss them. So after a long, fun-filled weekend I headed back to Lex and got home about 3 am. Now before you get to feeling too sorry for me for my late night driving, I will admit that it was mostly my fault that I got home so late because I kept putting off leaving for other fun things. I did not leave Birmingham until about 7 and then was caught in the Sunday rush hour, caused by a forest fire. All in all it was a hellava trip!

I also got the new iPhone 4 last week and I am happy to report that it is everything that I was hoping it would be. My other one dropped nearly every call I made or received last week so I finally got fed up and decided that since pay day was only two days away, it was definitely time for a new one! I cannot get over how fast this one works and how pretty it is. The reception is clearer, the signal is stronger, and the battery life is longer than the average life-spans of many 3rd world countries (maybe an exaggeration). This is my new toy and for almost a week I have been unable to put it down.

Though I am absolutely loving the weather that we are having today, I am completely fed up with my allergies. Every change of season brings a runny nose, watery eyes and the inevitably of a sinus infection. This morning I woke up with a pounding ear and scratchy throat and fever. I went to the doctor already knowing what they were going to say and sure enough, my familiar enemy, the sinus infection had set up camp and he was gracious enough to bring his sister, ear infection. So hopefully in two, three days I will be feeling better and less tempted to slam my head in the door until I finally pass out.

So anyways that is what is going on in my life these days. Yeah its a pretty exciting life. So I promise that I will be a little better about blogging a little more consistently. Welp, okay, we are headed to Walmart to buy wrapping paper so we can wrap our cabinets up as Christmas gifts. I'll post pictures if it goes well!
